Filtered Sunlight - 2/2

Posted by Bishop (Houston, United States) on 7 November 2009 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio.

A couple of old pics from Houston.
.
A Note on the pics: This was actually a cloudy day with gray sky over Houston. I used the magic of PS to create the sunshine and a general feeling of brightness in the pic. I must confess I was quite amazed by the change and very pleased with the effect. :)

For those of you who haven't been following my posts for long, I'd love you to go back in time and check out some of my older pics in my portfolio (thanks, Anne, for the idea!) - would love to read your opinions about them! Be brutally honest if you think I deserve it! :)
.
My apologies for not being able to respond individually to all comments - the number of comments have increased lately (very happy about that!); also, I have just been told that I will be laid off at the end of this month! (So any leads on future work will indeed be greatly appreciated!) Please be assured, though, that each comment received acts as another drop of nourishment to my soul and I very much appreciate all your visits.

A beautiful sunny day, very natural and fresh.
The low angle of this shot makes it unusual and dramatic. Nice job !!!

Excellent color and light... I remember a very large tree in my front yard in Houston.... After the first freeze you didn't want to stand under the tree because all the leaves fell at once... then the next week the tree was putting on new leaves!

Really! That is impressive that PS can transform a cloudy day into a sunny one. I like the angle and lines in this shot.
