And She Danced Herself Crazy

February is Carnival time in the Dominican Republic... however, unlike most places where Carnival is a one-weekend affair, here it goes on for five weekends! Sundays are full of parades, costumes, boys and girls on street in high fashion and higher energy levels...
This pic is from a school celebration on the last day of February - a parade of kids in a rainbow of dance and skits, MC'd by a ginourmously buxom'd lady in a very colorful flouncy dress and a very dapper gentleman in top hat and tails. This the Carnival Queen from Bonao with a fantastically huge head-dress on her. So much fun!

For those who like to discuss photography there are many great photographers on Google Buzz talking about their craft - please visit my profile page and you may find some through the list of my followers!
For those of you who haven't been following my posts for long, I'd love you to go back in time and check out some of my older pics in my portfolio - would love to read your opinions about them! Be brutally honest if you think I deserve it! :)

This is simply brilliant! You must have been chuffed to see the LCD afterwards :-)

@Ian Smith: Thanks! I don't know what "chuffed" is but I'm guessing it is something good! :D
